We are pleased to share that in February 2026, CURA's Clinical Consultant and Scientific Advisory Board Member, Dr. Peter Coleman, released his new book, Complete Freedom from Opioid Addiction: A Guide from a Recovering Physician.

Drawing upon over 40 years of experience, Dr. Coleman brings together clinical insight and his powerful dual perspective as both a provider and recovering addict. Step by step, he guides readers towards freedom from opioid addiction, offering hope grounded in science and compassion.

Dr. Coleman is a pioneer in addiction treatment. In 2001, he introduced an innovative approach using long-acting naltrexone and founded The Coleman Institute for Addiction Medicine to expand access to this care. As CEO and National Medical Director, he grew the organization into a nationwide network of clinics that has treated thousands of patients. Beyond his clinical work, he brings extensive experience in healthcare operations, including physician training and scaling clinical programs.

Today, Dr. Coleman serves as a Clinical Consultant and Scientific Advisory Board Member at CURA, where he provides invaluable clinical guidance to support the continued development of innovative and impactful toxicology testing solutions.
